FIELD TRIP DECEMBER 4- CASA Lethbridge Drumming & Art Exhibit

Open to all students in Grades 1-9 PEP/SRP Programs. 

**Due to the limited size of rooms, attendance is reserved for PEP & SRP students only**

We would like to inform you of an important change to the field trip schedule. Students will no longer be walking to the mall for lunch. Instead they will load busses and return to their campuses.  

This adjustment has been made to address any concerns parents may have had. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Open to all students in Grades 1-9 PEP/SRP Programs.

Join us as we Explore History together! 

The Military Museums of Calgary, Alberta is the largest tri-service museum in Western Canada and the second largest military museum in the country.

ART & TALENT SHOW UPDATE:

We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates about this year’s Art and Talent Show! This year’s show will not be held in person as originally planned, instead, we are excited to announce that our talent show will be accessible online! 

If you have signed up for a performance, whether it is singing, acting, or any creative act-please record your performance and send your video to John Creed at john.creed@westwind.ab.ca, by Friday, November 29, if you wish to view your performance online. 

Plus, mark your calendars! All art submissions will be displayed at our festive Family Christmas Party in Raymond on Tuesday, December 17th. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate creativity and talent with our community!

ART & TALENT SHOW:

Open to all WAS students in our PEP and SRP programs. 

WHEN: Thursday, November 7

WHERE: Cardston Theatre

TIME: 1:00-3:00

*Contestants need to be at the theater by 12:00 for a run through. Show is from 1-3:00 (The show may end sooner depending on the number of contestants) 

  • Please complete one form per child.
  • Select only one category that your student will be performing in.
  • The performance should be 2-3 minutes long.
  • For anxious performers, acts can be videoed in advance and played at the talent show (note: the student will introduce themselves and the video at the show)
  • Email all videos to John Creed: john.creed@westwind.ab.ca
  • All acts (including song lyrics) must be school appropriate.
  • There will be no last minute changes to the acts as this will affect the line-up of performances and times.

FIELD TRIP OCT 17- Corn Maze

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming field trip to the Corn Maze! This promises to be a day full of fun, exploration, and memorable experiences for our students. Below are the details you'll need to ensure your child is ready for this adventure.This is sure to be an unforgettable experience filled with laughter and learning. Activities:

•Petting Zoo – Each student will get a chance to visit the petting zoo and receive a cup of feed to share with the animals. - Rabbit cages can only have 5 students at a time - however, the rest of the petting zoo has not restrictions on numbers. 

•Train Ride – All participants will enjoy a scenic train ride around the maze. Train holds about 25 students at a time. 

•The Big Slide & Corn Maze – There will be plenty of time for sliding down the big slide and, of course, wandering through the corn maze!

CARDSTON CAMPUS- will visit the East Cardston Colony

Student will be split into 2 groups.  The younger group will participate in  a colony walking tour while older group play games and visit at the school.

10:30 AM- everyone joins together to  enjoy a "Hutterite snack"

11:00 AM- groups board busses to head back

12:00  PM- bus returns to campus
