Announcement: Brenda Sheen Retirement.

Hi Everyone.
I hope this snowing & blowing day finds you well and safe. I have a few things to touch base about.

First, and certainly with mixed feelings, I am announcing officially that Brenda Sheen, our Administrative Assistant, is retiring.... At the end of the month... That’s the end of this week!!! Actually I have known since near the end of January and we have been working hard to get things in place. Brenda has been with WAS for 23 years so there are a lot of things that have been in place for a long time that will need to be learned ... and also for the new person to make the role her own as well. We obviously will miss Brenda but we are also excited for her as she moves to another phase in life... with still lots of things to do I am sure. We are extremely grateful for her years of service to our school... and years of great friendship.

Terra LePage is our new Administrative Assistant! She has recently been an excellent Educational Assistant for us at our Raymond Campus. Prior to this Terra has extensive experience as a receptionist and then legal secretary. Terra is cheerful, outgoing, attentive to detail and, though she has ‘big shoes to fill’, will be excellent in this role. When you can, please join me in welcoming Terra to our administrative staff.

● A note to parents of grade 1 - 6 students of Raymond Campus. We understand that pulling Terra from her EA role in Raymond is a change for the kids especially. In speaking with Mrs Bright and Mrs. Cain, we have determined that they will take over the tutorial sessions themselves, rather than putting a new EA person into the mix right away. This will help with continuity and lessen the effects of the change significantly. I expect this will remain the case until the end of the school year. We will be hiring a new EA but we will utilize that person in other helping functions.
